Catch It Early

Signs Your HVAC System Needs Professional Attention

Problems don't always show up as a total breakdown. Sometimes it's a small change in comfort or a higher-than-normal energy bill. Catching these early saves you money and prevents a bigger failure down the road.

1

Your home heats or cools unevenly, with some rooms comfortable and others not.

2

Your energy bills jumped without an obvious explanation.

3

You can't hold a consistent temperature no matter what you set the thermostat to.

4

Your system is making unusual noises like rattling, banging, or squealing.

5

Airflow from your vents feels weak or inconsistent.

6

Your system cycles on and off frequently without running a full cycle.

7

You smell something musty or off coming from your vents.

Don't wait for a full breakdown. Most of the problems above get worse and more expensive the longer they go unaddressed.

Stay Ahead of It

How Often Should You Service Your HVAC System in Rhode Island?

At minimum, once a year. Most HVAC professionals recommend twice: once in the fall for your heating system before the cold hits, and once in the spring for your AC before summer. A tune-up runs through the full system, cleans components, checks for wear, and flags anything that could fail during the season.

If you're on one of our service plans, the annual tune-up is included and we schedule it for you. That's the easiest way to stay on top of it without having to remember to call.

HVAC Service & Repair FAQ

How often should you service your furnace?
At least once a year. We recommend a tune-up every fall before the heating season, and a second visit in spring for your AC. A yearly service cleans components, checks for wear, and catches small problems before they become a no-heat call in January.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency HVAC repair?
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency HVAC repair across our full service area in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. If your heat or AC goes down, call 401-722-0080 and we'll get a technician out to you.
What brands of HVAC equipment do you service?
We service all major brands of oil, gas, propane, and electric heating and cooling equipment, regardless of who installed it. As Mitsubishi Electric Elite Diamond Contractors, we have specialized training on Mitsubishi ductless systems.
What is the difference between a service plan and a one-time repair call?
A one-time repair call covers a single visit to fix a specific problem. A service plan bundles your annual tune-up with priority scheduling, discounted repairs, and 24/7 emergency support for a flat yearly cost. Most long-term customers prefer a plan because maintenance is handled automatically.
How do I know if I should repair or replace my HVAC system?
It comes down to age, repair cost, and efficiency. If your system is over 15 to 20 years old, needs a repair worth a large share of a replacement, or your energy bills keep climbing, replacement usually pays off. We'll give you an honest recommendation either way.
